In recent years, Hefei, which took the lead in creating the urban lifeline safety project in the province, has continuously broken through the fire circle, further exerting the role of "the provincial capital demonstrates and radiates to all cities". Anhui Province is taking the Hefei model as a model to accelerate the construction of lifeline safety projects in various cities. At present, the first phase of the province has been completed, the second phase of the project is fully launched this year, will further expand the scope of scene application, and strive to achieve comprehensive coverage of urban lifeline safety project by 2025.

Huhanrong Bridge is an important road bridge connecting Jingkai and Baohe District. Due to its long construction time, it is prone to aging damage. The city lifeline project is specially equipped with advanced displacement sensor for this bridge, just like installing a reliable "ECG monitor". In November last year, relying on the Urban Lifeline Project, Hefei successfully warned and jointly handled a major danger on the Huhangrong Bridge, ensuring the safety of the bridge and vehicles. At the time of the incident, the bridge "monitor" quickly issued an alarm, showing that the bridge expansion joint has a section of steel falling off and across the bridge deck, causing a safety threat to passing vehicles and pedestrians. The safety operation monitoring Center of Hefei City Lifeline Project concluded that there was a three-level structural safety risk in the bridge, and immediately sent the warning to the Hefei Municipal Engineering Management Office. The bridge maintenance team of the municipal "Moon Force" carried out emergency repair at night, and the traffic of vehicles returned to normal after cold repair of asphalt on the shed position.

In the past, Bridges in Hefei were generally inspected once every 1-2 years, but now they are monitored continuously throughout the day and comprehensively assessed twice a day, reducing the probability of risk occurrence. Intelligent early warning models, big data and artificial intelligence technologies are used to push early warning information such as risk types, levels and development trends in a timely manner, so as to control hidden dangers in the bud. A large number of municipal Bridges, including Tongling Road Bridge and Fanfei Dadao Bridge, which span the South Feihe River, have been included in the monitoring and management system of urban lifeline to ensure timely warning and precise prevention and control of risks. At present, the monitoring scope of Hefei urban lifeline project covers 63 Bridges in Hefei urban area, 70 Bridges in four counties, one city and one district. Scientific and technological services such as bridge structural damage risk warning, bridge safety guarantee in flood season, subway underpass bridge construction safety auxiliary decision, bridge deck ice warning in winter have been successfully carried out for 42 times, effectively guaranteeing the safe operation of different types of urban Bridges within the monitoring scope.
